Flags have been used in Antarctica ever since its discovery, but the way we display and use them has changed drastically in the last 200 years. To honor the fact that more people now fly digital flags than physical ones, we asked a few different artists around the world to come up with an animated True South flag. The results range in style from hyperrealistic to 8-bit to 2D cartoon. We've got penguins and icebergs and hashtags (oh, my!).
